Veterinary surgery is surgery performed on animals by veterinarians, whereby the procedures fall into three broad categories: orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, and neurosurgery. It is common for pets to hurt themselves or fall ill, in most cases, the conditions can easily be treated but sometimes, the situation may take an ugly turn and a surgical intervention might be required. There are a lot of small things that may be accidentally swallowed by your pet and may cause a serious obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract in such cases stomach (gastrotomy) or intestine (enterotomy) is required to take out the foreign body. Some pets like Bulldogs may face problems in birthing and may need a Caesarean due of the large size of the puppy’s head.
